PMP® Challenge Question - 5/15

On May 1st, the Challenge Question asked about a technique to collect expert opinion without allowing any one expert to dominate the discussion. The answer is simple -- the Delphi Method or Technique. With this method, a moderate distributes questionnaires to the participants, collects the results, summarizes them, and then distributes clarifying questions. This way every opinion is considered and the moderator guides the team to consensus. This method was used by John F. Kennedy to set the goal for a manned moon landing.

This week we're going to start another Challenge Giveaway. The first place prize is a copy of Eric Verzuh's book, The Fast Forward MBA in Project Management. Second prize is a PMP Exam Prep aid, Prepare for the PMP® Exam: Formulas and Important Facts to Remember, from VBPM, LLC. To win the Challenge, you need to answer two of the next three Challenge Questions (5/15, 6/1, and 6/15) correctly, emailing your results before midnight, June 18th to sdcapmp@aol.com. In addition to your answers, please include contact information and/or an address where you will receive your prize.

Today's Challenge Question is related to Quality:

1. Draw and label the components of a quality control chart.
2. What is assignable cause?
3. What is the rule of seven?

Good luck with the Challenge! I'll be posting the correct answers on 7/1.
